On the June 2, SOMOS21 Sydney hosted another event designed to facilitate networking opportunities for our network. It also gave attendees the chance to have their questions answered by expert guest presenters.
The evening focused on ‘How to reestablish your professional brand’, with presenters providing a short intro on their subject of expertise followed by an invitation to join them in a small group, where they could ask questions direct.
This format proved effective. Each group quickly became comfortable with each other and an organic flow of conversation and questions began with each presenter. People also were able to hear from other attendees in the room and learn for their stories.
Our presenters were all willing to answer every question and spend time with attendees to help them gain better insight into the right tactics to help them reestablish their personal brands as expats in Australia and in Latin America.
Our presenters for the evening were:
Trisha Carter | Founder | Transcultural Careers
How your cultural intelligence can be an asset for your next employer
Giovanni Ravone | Co-founder | HowAboutEat
How to connect with the Australian entrepreneur community
Luis Fernando Arruda de Carvalho | Founder | Enjoy Australia
Localising your qualifications and skills to match local demand
Emilio Cano | Founder | Ranchero
What does it take to be an entrepreneur in Latin America: A Mexican perspective
Vincent Maquinad | Winner of LinkedIn HR Power Profiles
Using social media to boost your profile and attract the right opportunities
We had a film crew who also attended and prepared a video to summarise the success of the evening. Make sure you sign-up to our mailing list so you don’t miss out on our next event.
